I have a VB program that calculates interest. The program works fine, the problem is sometimes the XML output from the program that we read back to an older database is too long if the number of payments is real high.
The program loops thru the number of payments, calculates interest, first last payments etc...and throws out a xml string at the end so the other program can read it.
The other program can only read about 31,000 pieces then it dies.
Any way to cut it up into smaller chunks.
Here is the xml output:
<diarydesc>DEBTOR OWES ME A PAYMENT</diarydesc>
<record rec="1"><date>20101120 </date><payment>97 </payment>
The program is like this:
If (lCounter = lNumPayments) Or (lMonth = 12) Then
WriteLineToDatabase dtWeekDate, dBalance, dIntBalance, dTotalIntAcc, dIntYTD:=dTotalYTD, dPayment:=dPayment
If lCounter = lNumPayments Then WriteTotalsToDatabase dPayment, dTotalPaid, mdMthPayment
WriteLineToDatabase dtWeekDate, dBalance, dIntBalance, dTotalIntAcc, dPayment:=dPayment
